    Oleg died in 2007 after a heart attack.When I was last there in Nov 2007 The Cape Club was closed and a dispute was underway over inheritance. Freetown was just the same as before but quieter after the departure of UNAMSIL.

    Actually, the hotel is bigger than the square shown. The villas on the left are part of the Hotel and a nice place to stay. The beach on the right also belong to the hotel.

    It's just ok, I have been this hotel for somedays, the room is cleaning & tidy, the facilities is ok. The only problem is the electrical, but as I konw, this city is just like this. Thanks to the god, hotel have their generator, everytime the light is off, after one or two miniters, it will be back.

    Alex's is next door to the Cape Club.....2 brothers owned them, Alex and Oleg. Alex's wife runs Alex's and Oleg the Cape Club. He died several months ago. Cape Club is a more authentic SL experience.

    It's actually built onto the side of the Cape Club. The Cape Club still has its sign but I haven't seen it open on any of my visits to Alex's. Looks as if it could be abandoned.
